Hi, I'm Sitara!
I'm the writer behind School of Plot. I love folklore, funny fantasy novels, & obscure facts about the Tudor era (Horrible Histories really did a number on me, I guess).
I started School of Plot in October 2022 as a fun, productive space for fellow writers to improve our craft and finally finish our dream novels.
(I'm also really awkward on camera, I swear I don't look this menacing in real life... I can't explain why I'm doing a 'Disney villain's devious pet animal' expression here.)
Fighting For the Procrastinators
I'm currently working on my first fantasy novel, and I found myself procrastinating at every turn. Writing's my passion but the super-serious, formulaic advice I saw online was worsening my fear of the blank page, not easing it.
I wanted to create a framework writers could use that combined practical writing tips with creativity and fun.
In short, I wanted to make writing so fun that procrasination wasn't an option.

It's cool to think that from my room in the UK I've helped writers across the world to take their dream novel from a 3AM notes app entries to completed manuscripts.
