FAQs
Common Questions
How do I submit my first line?
Once you purchase a ticket, I'll send you a PDF with a link to submit your first line. I'm very excited to pass these on to the editor!
Can I attend without submitting a first line?
Of course! Many writers come to workshops just to observe, take notes and learn from others’ examples.
Will my first line be safe from plagiarism?
All attendees must tick a box agreeing not to copy or reproduce other participants’ writing. It’s a respectful, professional space for learning, not for borrowing ideas.
Every line shared is treated as your intellectual property. You keep full ownership and rights.
The live critiques are for educational purposes only, and we never publish or reuse anyone’s work without explicit permission.
Do I need to have my camera or mic on?
Nope! You can join quietly, listen, and take notes. If your line is selected for a live critique, we’ll read it aloud. You don’t need to speak on camera unless you want to.
I can't do this time/date!
If you buy a ticket, I'm going to email you a recording. We can review your line even if you don't attend.
Are refunds available?
Tickets are non-refundable but you’ll still receive the replay and materials even if you can’t make it live.
Who’s running this?
The session is hosted by School of Plot and led by Sithara, with live critiques from various editors, the first one being Jaume.
